HISTORY

            Kanchanpur Higher Secondary School was established in 1945 in the Govtkhas land with the initiative of the then local peoples. Since inception the school was primary and co-educational, later on upgraded to upper primary, secondary and lastly higher secondary in 1968.

            Late NirmalDewan (Chakma) was the first Headmaster (primary) of this school. Late AbaniAdhikari was the first H.M of upper primary in 1960. In the year 1965 it was upgraded to High school and late Abdul Latif occupied the chair as first Headmaster of High School. It was than under the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education. In 1968 it was upgraded to Higher Secondary school. Late ChittaRanjan Deb was the first Headmaster of Higher Secondary School. Since 1976 it has been under Tripura Board of Secondary Education.

            Now, the school has double storied building since 2013 and 721 students are studying at the school in the current academicyear 2021-22. A good number of dedicated and sincere Teachers have been giving their service for the interest of the students.

ACHIEVEMENT:-

1. The result and performance of the studentsof this school, public examination has always been very good. Besides the NSS unit of the school got several prizes in different years. The school has name and fame in the field of sports. A good number student of this school had participated in many events in National Level.
2. The school had received the 3^rd Computer Literacy Excellence Award for distinguished performance in imparting computer education in the year 2004 from the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology, Govt. of India.
3. Most recently this school has received Certificate of Appreciation for achieving 100percent enrollment of girl children in school during the year 2019-20 in north Tripura District under the TRIPURA BETI BACHAO BETI PADHAO ABHIYAN.

VISION:–

            The vision of Kanchanpur HS School is to develop our school into a learning organization with a family spirit among the Teachers, Students, Parents, community and authority.

MISSION:-

The mission of our school is to make learning available accessible and adaptable to each student in fear free and friendly environment to improve the result in different examination of NCERT curriculum, increasing the students’ attendance and involving the students in different co-curricular and vocational activities including moral spirit through the involvement of stakeholder.
